Implant screws are structures with certain width and thickness. Therefore, the area where an implant is suggested, needs to have sufficient width and height to support said implant screw. Quality of existing bone is another factor affecting implant success.
Besides, gums need to be in full health before and during treatment, while implants will stay in your mouth. As long as patient’s general health condition is good, there is no upper age limit for implant procedure, but please keep in mind that it may not be the best option for very young patients, whose bone development is not complete.
