What are brackets and their types?

These are transparent or metal pieces glued onto teeth during orthodontic treatment. Force is applied onto teeth through brackets.

Bracket includes the wire that moves the teeth, and rubber bands that attach wires to bracket. Basically, these pieces divert teeth into desired direction by applying appropriate amount of force.
